Suggestion:

  • implement a (re)post queue to collect (re)posts before actually posting them
  • either add a separate repost button "repost to queue" or let users specify that they want their (re)posts to go to the queue instead of directly posting them
  • let users review their queued (re)posts to allow weeding out before actually posting
  • display a counter that keeps track of the number of (re)posts issued within a customized time window, say 24 h

Rationale:

  • when browsing the feeds, one might come across a large number of posts one deems repost worthy
  • reposting all of them instantly might lead to a lot of reposts which deters followers who don't want to be spammed by a few frequent posting accounts
  • the above proposed feature would make it much more easy for users to first click "repost to queue" without having to spend much thought and later it'd make it easy to compare the posts and be picky and deliver what they deem the most valuable reposts instead of spreading all those posts that very only barely above the mental repost threshold

What if this was generalized as a "scheduled post" feature? And then have an editable list of scheduled posts, Would that solve it for you?

If it also had the post counter, I guess so.

It'd also depend upon the UI details.

Well there would be a section of the UI called "scheduled posts" and it would show a list of all posts along with the scheduled time. I guess we could show a tally at the top like (3 posts, 12 reposts) or something like that.

Ok, I will rename this issue to "scheduled posts" and mark it as a feature request
